SACRED GEOMETRY: Re-aligning Ourselves to Nature

How Sacred Geometry Can Help Your Life

Sacred Geometry: Realigning Ourselves to Nature

(Flower of Life Art Directive is included in the exercise lessons in Module 5)

We are all geometrical beings with infinite possibilities of how our life can be created, explored and enjoyed. When we are able to tap into and access the power of sacred geometry, we feel more balanced in our lives because we become more connected to the nature around us as well as our own infinite possibilities!

Throughout this course we will be working to creating various sacred geometrical images including the flower of life to access our own inner peace and restructuring our own geometrical DNA and life plan.

The very act of creating a reflection of what is represented in nature in a systematic and structured way that geometric images allow, invite a restructuring of our own mechanical and geometric systems within. Our DNA is based on this system of sacred geometry and images we take in with our senses have deep meaning to our bodies, psyche and healing.

The art of sacred geometry has been studied and revered for ages; from the note books of Leonardo Da Vinci, to the construction of the pyramids. There is an innate wisdom within our bodies that can be tapped into in more ways than one. Many of the lessons through this course will guide you on how to create, but the work is for you to move beyond the initial instruction to access your own creativity and move the materials in whatever way feels right for you in the moment. This is where the wisdom and movement towards integration lies- inside you. Enjoy and trust in the process as you allow your creative impulse to flourish.

What is Sacred Geometry?

Sacred Geometry can be described as the architecture of the universe, the fingerprints of God. The patterns used in sacred geometry are used as the template for all material things. Patterns are the building blocks of everything in life. Everything can be reduced to a geometric structure: plants, stars, planets, music, cells, people, DNA, animals, solar systems, atoms, you name it, anything in the universe can be measured on a geometric scale.

Sacred geometry may be understood as pattern recognition of geometric synchronicity involving space, time and form reflecting the order of nature. All around us, we find patterns, designs and structures from the most minuscule particles, to expressions of life discernible by human eyes, to the greater cosmos. These inevitably follow geometrical archetypes, which reveal to us the nature of each form and its vibrational resonances.

Sacred Geometric shapes found in nature are further broken down into various numbers, mathematical formulas and specific symbols that the ancients believed were the building blocks for everything in the universe. Modern science and the study of Quantum Physics are now confirming the cosmic significance of sacred geometric forms, which are the foundation to what we call reality.

The way shapes relate to one another in our world is also symbolic of the underlying metaphysical principle of the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole. It is this principle of oneness underlying all geometry that permeates the architecture of all form in its countless diversity. This principle of interconnectedness, inseparability and union provides us with a continuous reminder of our relationship to the whole, a blueprint for the mind to the sacred foundation of all things created.

Creating structure creates consciousness. Seeing things at the basic level of sacred geometry is seeing life with truth. It gives us a larger perspective of how reality is truly structured. Sacred geometry is the geometry of consciousness. It revolves around the idea that all consciousness, including human is solely based on sacred geometry. Because it is, we can begin to see where we are, where we have come from and where we are going.

The study of sacred geometry leads the observer into contemplation of the Great Mysteries. A basic understanding of sacred geometry can provide a helpful way of viewing our world that you can use in your own life. How shapes in nature interact and affect one another and how we, as a part of nature, do the same.

How Sacred Geometry Can Help Your Life

- Improves Your Spatial Understanding and Visual Ability

Many projects require an ability to imagine what is needed inside a certain space, such as planning a house renovation, determining what size of car to buy or laying out a new garden. Practice visualizing dimensional shapes and dimensions will help with tasks like these.

- Can Assist with Meditation and Personal Awareness

Mandalas are specific shapes used by various traditions to represent the universe and act as aids for meditation. You can work with mandalas to help your own meditation practice. Or you can simply decorate with symbols that are meaningful to you and place them as reminders throughout your home.

- Promotes a Greater Appreciation of Nature and the Universe

Once you’re familiar with some of the basic shapes, you’ll start seeing how they repeat in many places throughout nature and man-made structures.

- Enhances 3-D Thinking

If you work in graphic design, movie production or any other type of design work, an awareness of sacred geometric patterns will help train your brain to see patterns and improve your design and 3-D skills. Studying the sacred shapes and patterns may give you some great ideas for your next project.

- Engages Your Whole Brain

The left side of our brain tends to be the more logical, technical side, whereas the right brain is typically the creative, intuitive side. For most of us, one side of the brain is usually dominant. The nature of geometry engages both sides of your brain and helps them to work together. This can make you more effective in life overall.
